Use URLmin's simple API for minimizing your links URLs with an easy HTTP call

Call:

http://urlmin.com/api?url=[URL] (&name=[NAME]) (&format=[FORMAT])

Parameters:

URL: The URL you want to minimize (URL encoded better)

NAME: The name you'd like for the minimized URL

FORMAT: Response format, it can be link (default), html, bbcode, markdown or textile

Example:

http://urlmin.com/api?url=http://maps.google.com/ ?ie=UTF8&hl= es&f=q&om=1&ll =33.437484, -111.99858&spn= 0.001068,0.002234&t=k&z=19

If the aim of your application is not commercial, you can use our API directly. If your application principal aim is to have revenues, it will be considered commercial and you'll have to contact with us in order to get a formal aprobation. We don't guarantee that URLmin API is free of bugs. URLmin may ends the API on any moment. We serve the API as is. We don't allow more than one request per second.
